Make-up Raindate: Sunday July 12, 2009 - We have scheduled a make-up rain date for July 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM. It will be a single judged, single points and single entry fee. HOWEVER, THIS SHOW WILL NOT HAVE PAYBACKS. The proceeds will be to help make up for the kickoff show that was rained out. These funds always go towards year end awards.
A LITTLE HELP? We are in need of volunteers to help at the shows. Our membership has grown, but our volunteers have become only a few. We need office help, ring steward, gate person and someone to collect gate fees (approx. 9:00 am to 11:30 am). GOOD NEWS!! The Cookshack will be OPEN starting this weekend for the June 28th show. I'm sure everyone will be happy they won't have to pack their own lunches. They have made a lot of new improvements to their cookshack so please give them our thanks and support.
NEW ENTRY FORMS: We are implementing a new class entry form system, that hopefully will be easier for our office help to keep things moving smoothly. I will be uploading the new form in the next few days, so don't use the old form. This system will be an individual entry form for each class.
POINTS POSTED: The points from the kickoff double judged show have been posted. Please look them over and if you feel an error has been made, feel free to ask and I will be glad to check it out. This year I am only posting points from members with nominated horses. (In the past, I listed all points and designated which ones were qualifying.) It seemed too confusing, so I am only posting points that are eligible for year end awards. If you do not see your points listed and you think they should be, please contact me. Remember you must be members and nominate each horse in order for points to count. It is not too late to still become members and nominate your horses and we will begin counting points at the next show.
FORMS & SHOWBILLS: All 2009 forms and showbills are updated and posted under "KHSC Information". Memberships and Horse Nominations must be turned in prior to showing in a class in order for points to count.
LIABILITY WAIVER FORMS: This year we are requiring all participants to sign a liability waiver. If you are 18 & Under, you must have both parents sign and keep a waiver form on file with KHSC. The form is on the forms page under "KHSC Information" and can be downloaded. It should be signed and turned in prior to showing.
ELIGIBILITY: Remember before you start earning points and be eligible for year end awards, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Be a member (have a completed membership form and fees paid)
2. Nominate your horse (have a completed nomination form for each horse and fees paid)
3. Participate in at least one more than half of the total shows held.
SHOWDATES: We have the 2009 Show Schedule listed below. Possible raindates if needed, could be , July 12, Aug 9 or Aug 23 or any other date as it becomes necessary.

ARENA DIRECTIONS: I-70 to Exit 28 (Oak Grove) Go south on "F" Hwy (Broadway) approx. 3/4 mi. Turn right (west) onto 12th St. Follow west 1/2 mile and see arena on your left. (It is located next to Frick Arena.)
APHA PAC PROGRAM: Kaysinger is an approved organization for the Paint Alternative Competition (PAC) Program for 2009.
